The Purpose of Jesus’ Coming to Earth and Becoming a Man
(1 Timothy 1:15, Luke 19:10)
-
Jesus is God but He became a man. He came to earth to be in the position of a man to bear our sins, to shed His blood so that our sins would be forgiven. He was just like any other man who went through different phases of a human life such as birth, growing up etc..
-
He came to proclaim God’s salvation, and spread the good news to all the people who did not know about it.
-
Jesus had experienced all the pain and sufferings of a human life, so that He can sympathize with our weaknesses. Thus, with every weakness we come across, He understands how we feel, and He will intercede (pray) for us (Hebrews 4:15)
Some Important Facts of His Birth

A Few Main Points of His Life
(Isaiah 53)
-
Isaiah 53 tells us that Jesus came to the earth not to be served but rather to serve and to suffer for man’s transgressions. A God so great, because of His love, was willing to humble Himself to become a man, despised and forsaken by man, often experiencing agony, all for the purpose to seek and to save those who are lost.
-
Born in a Manger (Luke 2:7)
-
Being a Carpenter, a lowly Nazarene (Mark 6:3, Matt. 2:23)
-
Being Baptized around 30 years old, being tempted (Mark 1:9,13; Luke 3:23)

-
Calling for disciples (Matt. 4:18-22)
-
Being Crucified, buried, and resurrected (Mark 15:15, 46; 16:6)
We should always consider and remember the life that Jesus lived on the earth and be touched by His love, moving us to live a life that pleases Him.
